Okay, so my dad had this old sofa and two chairs, they were beyond repair and nobody would want them so we decided to burn them along with the boxes that the new sofas came in. I figured it would be a great opportunity to get some pictures of the fire and the light it produces for my Personal Project (which if you haven't guessed by my other posts is based upon Light)
These were taken with a blowtorch by waving it in front of the lens with a four second shutter speed. These are a little blurrier than i had anticipated, however i was happy.
These were taken with a higher shutter speed (1/100 - 1/4000 on some images) I think these images turned out very well, the vibrance of the colours and the detail the camera managed to capture looks great
These images were much harder to create as they required correct timing, and a little finesse with a very long stick (the fire was extremely hot, I was barely able to stand as close as I did) But to summarise, I poked it and threw stones at it so that the embers flew up into the air, then snapped a picture with a four second shutter speed, which provided these awesome fire trails.
